REFLECTIONS

The project really benefited me in that it revealed some of the difficulties in self-scheduling and being successful and consistent with that schedule. I also learned the importance of creating art daily and that it’s something that needs to be practiced regularly. My hope is that once I graduate I will give this project a second try, but to stream a variety of things other than art; such as music production and gaming. Setting up my profile will be much easier now as well because I have already created the infographics for it.

As much as it pains me to say, overall I consider this project a failure. However, it was only a failure when looking at the goals that were set for it.  I had no idea how the reality of the project would compare with my predictions. When looking at what I learned from this project, I consider it a success. I had fun learning new software and improving my familiarity with the tools in which I will be using in my career. I learned that being consistent is so important in the forming of habits. One of the things I predicted in the project proposal class was that I'd start making art daily because the live streaming process created a habit too. That didn't happen because of the inconsistencies I had with my project. I still created some good works of art, but the habits weren't formed.
